I do not feel uncomfortable in any way when hearing other languages, it should not make people feel uncomfortable because that is what someone knows and it might be their only method of communication so if it is making someone uncomfortable most likely they are the problem.

I myself speak another language and I'm an immigrant. When I speak Spanish to my family or mother its because its easier for them to speak in Spanish due to their imperfect English. I also don't use Spanish to be rude to anyone in public, I use it for personal manner and I don't believe everyone has to know my business. Speaking Spanish is another way I remain attached to my Latina culture and its part of who I am.
