That’s like saying the wolves wouldn’t try to eat the sheep if the shepherd would just stop guarding them.

Depends on who you consider "wolves" and who you consider "sheep" in reality the government is the ravenous pack of wild dogs and the people are the sheep about to be slaughtered

The government can be a pack of ravenous wolves, or it can be merely a sheepdog. I prefer the second one, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it must be weak. Corporations are wolves because they prove often that whenever they’re not regulated, they gain power from money, money we give them without real choice in the matter (because we need the products), feeding them ungodly amounts of economic power. Blackrock is a good example. If there’s anything that threatens the mere idea of our democratic-republic, it’s companies like Blackrock with enough control to force a corporatocracy into existence if they were left unregulated.

For the last time, that’s not my view of government. I get it, it’s corrupt, it needs a purge of political leaders, however, o see its potential as an APPARATUS, not as a guardian. The government is the strongest power in history, and I intend for the people to be able to use it to their own will, not as a direct democracy, but by holding the leaders they elect as accountable as possible, being replaceable and of little consequence to rid our country of. They serve us, they answer to the people, but they don’t do that right now, a problem drastically amplified by cronyism…  Read more
