You believe that a strong, centralized government led by a powerful leader can provide stability, order, and efficient decision-making for the betterment of society.
Authoritarianism is a political ideology characterized by strong central power and limited political freedoms. Under an authoritarian regime, individual freedoms are subordinate to the state, and there is no constitutional accountability. The power is concentrated in the hands of a leader or a small elite that is not constitutionally responsible to the body of the people. Political power in an authoritarian system is maintained by control over the mass communications, outright suppression of political dissent, and a prohibition on political parties competing against the ruling party.

Does the concentration of power in the hands of a few ever benefit the majority?
@9H84VDL6mos6MO
I think so. It is hard for people to make decisions on their own, especially if they are not informed in those topics. Having knowledgeable representatives keeps our democracy from failing.
@9H7TWM76mos6MO
No, it always allows for one person to do whats best for them which is usually not best for everyone else.
@9H6SBN5 6mos6MO
Often, a majority is benefited by the people in power, but the majority is oppressed much harder.
@9H8NX77Republican6mos6MO
No, because when you have power, you always want more of it.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
If you could create rules for a perfect society, what would be the first rule you’d make, and why?
@9JLRGR44mos4MO
I would make a rule that says no drinking over age 21 and if you do you go to jail, also for tobacco and stuff because most kids at my school have drinking problems and i worried about them, its middle school for gods sake.
@9JLYZV84mos4MO
If your kids are drinking in middle school then it is the parents fault and not the governments fault.
@9JLXTJBLibertarian4mos4MO
Substances like tobacco and alcohol are dangerous to children, but if a child is caught with them they do not deserve jail time. As for the age, as long as 18 years old is old enough to join the military, it is also old enough to drink and smoke.
The Federal Minimum Wage should be increased every year, not only to match the increase of inflation but in order to have more than enough readily available income per citizen, and in order to have a TRULY LIVEABLE WAGE.
@9JLRP8Z4mos4MO
people should be punished for treating immigrants with violence. also that there should be more equality in the workplace no matter your race, gender, and age they should all get paid the same if they are doing the same thing. another is that we should stop destroying land and keep it as it is and slow down on building new things.
@9JLR9794mos4MO
No one is allowed to treat immigrants with any sort of violence or you will be punished. We end racism not create it.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How might your day-to-day lifestyle be impacted if there were curfews and travel restrictions without any exceptions?
@9J324VL4mos4MO
It would be a lot more uniform and boring with a lack of freedom.
@9J322MJ4mos4MO
Work and Social Life would be impacted greatly. With people who get off super late at night or spend a lot of time out at night
@9J2ZZC44mos4MO
I feel like a curfew is nice like if everyone can be in the house during weekdays by 1am an on the weekends should be like 3am
Kids these days wouldn't be dying and kids would be excellent in school.

If you weren't allowed to choose your job, how would you find purpose and fulfillment?
@9JB28X94mos4MO
being able to choose my job is a big part in finding my purpose.
@9JB2939Peace and Freedom4mos4MO
I would find fulfillment in hobbies and think of my job as many do a chore when in today's work it doesn't have to be.
@9JB2LRM4mos4MO
I would do something else i love in life to fulfill that place in my life.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Would you feel comfortable living in a country where your government decides who you can and cannot marry?
@9HZBKRX4mos4MO
No, marriage should not be a forced decision and there would be no love around marriage if your spouse was chosen.
@9HZBX5D 4mos4MO
No I would like to find love myself, if I found someone I rlly wanted to marry than yes but I wouldn't want to be told who I can and can not have my future with.
@9HZBYPT4mos4MO
I would hate it, that is sick. All people of all genders should marry whoever they want.
@9HZL9T2Progressive4mos4MO
If someone has to go home to someone they hate daily, that will affect their work ethic, mood, interactions with others, and health. All of these will most likely be for the worse, and won't help either person.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How much of your personal history and culture is tied to the freedom of expression?
@9JRWMGH3mos3MO
Everyone who lives in this country should have freedom of expression as long as it doesn't jeopardize or harm the government.
@9JRR6QDRepublican 3mos3MO
I learned about freedom of expression through Christianity since I had hated Jesus for many years, but the fact that neither my church nor God Himself decided to shut me up, despite my piercing and hurtful words toward them, I learned that the freedom of expression is the only true way to change a man's choice of expression.
@9JRN2D3 3mos3MO
All of it is tied to the freedom of expression but moving foward is more important
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
If the government provided everything you needed, what aspects of freedom would you miss the most?
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Can a leader who never faces elections or public criticism truly understand the needs of the people?
@9HZFSH64mos4MO
No, as the "supreme representative of the people" it's important that the president is in touch with the entire nation. If you can't critique your own leader and their policies, that can become a dangerous state of mind, a great example being radical supporters of former President Trump.
I believe that constructive criticism is vital to becoming better at whatever you do, especially when you are effecting the people who are giving you the constructive criticism.
@9J23V7ZWomen’s Equality4mos4MO
If a political leader does not face the public for critical feedback or the things that the people want, how can one be better? A leader should know when to step up and when to comment.
@9HZZZQ24mos4MO
No, if a leader wants to understand what his or her people really need, he or she needs to let them speak their voice.
@9HZCJBFProgressive4mos4MO
Absolutely not. A leader appointed without an election from the people is an invalid ruler and should be removed from office, to be replaced by a true elected leader.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How important is it for you to have a say in the laws that regulate your school or workplace?
@9HZC2Y9CA Common Sense4mos4MO
It is very important. we are the people, and the people hold the power.
@9HZCG8G4mos4MO
I think that they should, for the most part, be abl
@9HZBWB3 4mos4MO
it's important especially when parents are sending their kids to school full of trust thinking you got them so as students we have the right to know what's going on to relax our parents while their working, at home or etc.
